Attemtpts At Intimidation Continue

Today, the Godhra/Lunawada (a dist in Gujarat) the newspapers are full of news that the Godhra police has "summoned" me tomorrow for questioning in the Pandharawada Mass Graves Case (please refer to the links) My advocate Adv Hasan has spoken to the DYSP Mothaliya and hinted to him that under the CRPC the police cannot summon a woman to the police station and if at all, they need to come and record my statement at my residence after notice/intimation.

To put this in context, this is the Mass Graves matter in which the police are trying to falsely implicate a journalist (Rahul Singh earlier with Sahara now with Headlines Today), our lawyer MM Tirmizi and myself. They are using the manipulated testimony of a former employee of CJP (contained in the affidavit filed by me in the Anticipatory Bail Application). I obtained anticipatory bail from the local Sessions Court on Feb 15 in a reasoned order that records the possibility of state animus and vindictiveness against me because of the Zakia A Jafri + CJP case pending in the Supreme Court where the accused number 1 is the Chief Minister and 61 others including politicians (cabinet colleagues and highly placed administration and police officials.

The charges are serious and despite all the Gujarat Government's and its political mentors, the leaders of the political opposition to subvert our course of public justice, preliminary investigations have revealed details of a high level involvement of the CM and chosen others to indulge in a series of criminal and unConstitutional acts to ensure the mass massacre of 2,500 Muslims post Godhra, de§truction of their bodies. Manipulation of evidence and subversion of witnesses etc. On March 15 2011 the SC pulled upp the SIT saying that the evidence gathered by them do not match inferences. On March 20, 21 and 22 the SIT was compelled to records the statement of yet another serving IPS officer Sanjeev Bhatt who has recorded (media reports tell us) that he was was present at a meeting at the Chief Minister's residence when the latter clearly said " allow Hindus to vent their anger against Muslims." Thereafter the illegal stationing of ministers iin the state and city police control rooms, the maccabre violence, killings rapes and burnings that were unleashed on minorities in 19 districts of the state are empirical testimony to these instructions being followed out. Before that the illegal handing over of the bodies of victims of the Godhra mass arson to a functionary of a rabid right wing outfit not an official of the administration or police as also the inflammatory media coverage of the Godhra incident by leading Gujarati newsppaers --all of whom received congratulatory letters from the chief minister and against whom, he has home minister did not launch criminal proceedings for inciting violence despite the advise of senior policemen and the State Intelligence further suggests how premeditated the conspiracy actually was.
